FAQ

A therapist has the professional training to help you through whatever it is you may be struggling with. They will listen and respond without judgment, provide helpful tips, and offer new perspectives that someone close to you may not be able to offer. In addition, therapy is completely confidential. You don’t have to worry about a family member or friend sharing something private with someone else.

Medication alone can be helpful for some people, but oftentimes it works best in conjunction with talk therapy. Medication treats symptoms, but the goal of counseling is to get to the root of the issue at hand, and determine solutions and strategies to move forward with.

Every person is different and has different needs and goals so there is no “typical” session. We will customize your sessions to your specific needs.

We are glad you are excited and ready to make a change. Being an active participant in sessions, and working on your own outside of them will be crucial to your success.
